Is anyone currently doing any Chaingangs?

Thanks

As far as I know the Tuesday one is still heading out on a regular basis from just outside the ring road - a few Clifton people do it occasionally but it's a broad bunch of locals. Can anyone confirm start time? 6:15?

The Acaster ones seemed to peter out as most of the people doing them were doing the TLI's either at Boroughbridge or Croft!

Yes the Tuesday chaingang still meets at Acomb roundabout and heads out through Tockwith, Cowthorpe a circuit round Little Ribston and North Deighton and back. I've been meeting the group at Hessay in recent weeks - I think they are going about 6:15 from the rounabout or possibly a bit earlier. Numbers are a bit in and out even when the TLI isn't on. But its a good workout - better than the TLI's in my view - cheaper, you get home an hour and a half earlier and have more chance of winning the sprint!!

There is the Thursday night one two organised by Cyclworks that leaves at 6pm from opposite the shop.

An interesting link to some chain gangs around the country for travelling cyclists

Maybe it is worth Clifton putting their chain gang on there?

The numbers are pretty good for the chaingang on Tues and Thursdays from cycleworks, both at 6pm. About 18 of us went out on Tues and around 12-16 today.

Wow that's great to hear some are done around bishop wood, that's literally 5 mins from me :D

I might come along the week after next if it's on, don't know if I'll be recovered from Sunday on Tuesday if you have one next week.

If it is on the Tuesday after next, it'll make the TLI road race interesting!

So they got the TLi starting from near my house again? Might have to do it this time if I can get the confidence up and not be scared about falling off.

I'm afraid the series is full Will - it was over-subscribed from the first race so the organisers made it series pre-entry only.
