Swim: 1:16:43 Bike: 5:56:05 Run: 4:50:30 Total: 12:20:48

Knowing next to nothing about it I'm in awe of achievements like this - I don't know how this compares with expectations but seems a 'well done Jon' is in order!

Hi Dave,

Just back from Nice after watching Jon do his first triathlon. In tempratures hitting 33C the boy was awesome.

He had a cracking swim, 6 months ago his swimming was pretty limited, but as usual with Jon, he worked hard on it.

The biking goes without saying, except that he used his head and didn't blow it on the hills, knowing he had the marathon to run afterwards. The marathon was hard, but Jon showed his normal grit.

I've got to say I was very proud and the smile on his face as he finished was fantastic.

The result was well within expectations, as we had been aiming under 13 hours.

So your right a huge 'WELL DONE' is in order.
