Ideas

Post by David »

Hi

In A Level Computing we have to make a program (a fully working near professional one), and one of my ideas that has had preliminary approval is a Library program for logging the activities of tools hired out, such as the information on the person who borrowed it, the type of tool, how many tools of that kind there is to borrow, when it was taken out, when it was received in, if the tools is in correct working order when returned etc

But just in case the surplus funds for hire tools scheme doesn't get used, I would like to have some back up ideas.

So basically is there anything this club (so I can put a bit of something back in) such as registration data base or any of it members does that I could use a computer program to solve the problem, just as a quoting system for a trades person

The program would need to be quite complex, (as that is where the high marks are) and would need to solve a real world problem with a real world user. (I can't make it up)

I would need to conduct a short interview with the potential user, and they would need to review the program to see if it meets the standards and specifications they set out in the interview (such as certain features)
Nothing is real...everything is permitted
