Some of us have discussed this briefly. It does depend on whether you are riding for a time or just out to enjoy the ride/route. (Riders of a similar ability could get a faster time by riding together and taking turns. If abilities vary though the faster riders will be held back.) Last year we all set off together at 8ish and then after a few miles it split as people progressed at a pace they felt Ok with. The forecast is for a reasonably strong westerly wind so possibly it may be advantageous to stick together for the first third then split?
Certainly happy to start off together and see how the day goes - personally I'm not really aiming for a particular time award. Any thought on a start time? 8ish sounds good to me.
OK, hope to see some of you tomorrow - I hope to be setting off as close to 8 as poss, but I'll keep my eyes open for Clifton jerseys. I've not got the club colours yet, so I'll be in a plain yellow coloured jersey on a bare metal (matt, not shiny) Sunday Silk Road. Enjoy the ride!
