Wed eve ride - 13th May

Post by Tullio »

To launch this year's season of Wed evening rides we're off to Dalby to explore the new Cross Country Course.

I have a GPS log of the route only and it was changed slightly before the race, so it may be a bit 'make it up as you go along' but I'm sure we'll have fun anyway.

Forecast at the moment is for a fine evening but if it's hosing down it's cancelled.

Meet Dalby Visitor Centre (Visitor Centre end) 7pm.

Who's feeling adventurous?

I will be there.
I didnt see all the course as I only went as far as Worry Gill, which was an excellent viewpoint as the riders came through twice. Some of the course was on adderstone field and incorporated the pace bike park.

I am up for that.

Does anyone want to carshare from York?

I have a rack for 3 bikes.

Also never done an evening club ride,
How late do we stay, will we be riding in the dark intentionally, or just accidentally?

The reason I ask is I have a head torch I can ride by, but I can build a bike light if I will need one.

Cavegiant, I'll take you up on that lift if I can. I'll bring my dalby badge so we don't have to pay.

Hi All,

Both spaces in my car now booked.

I need to know details on the ride to know if I can come.

I don't have lights and potentially am going for a ride in the Peaks earlier in the day.

Do i need lights,
how long will the ride be,
distance covered
how fast are people, I might be slow due to already doing 20k that morning.

details please!

Cavegiant,

We're very democratic. We'll ride the speed, distance and time that the group wants. Just turn up and enjoy the ride. No lights necessary until you get back to your cave.
