Thanks Mark but lets keep things in perspective - one of us got a win in a National time trial whilst one of us got 10th in a local 3rds & 4th road race!
There is actually a good report of the Wetwang race on the BC website.
Wetwang isn't a race I've ridden that many times as its either clashed with something else or I wasn't eligible as a 2nd cat. Had good results in it though spanning 18 or so years - 1st, 3rd, 5th and now 10th in as many rides so I may carry on to see if I can fill every top 10 place before I die!
No probs in the race - tailwind up the finishing climb which made it fast and thinned the field a bit but killed the racing a bit on the rest of the circuit. The two guys who took first & second made fools of the rest of us however. Its a long long climb to the finish line - a bit too long for me this time but aswell as taking 10th I also took the fastest old git award. Cycleworks Craig Gath was also up there - 6th with the longest finishing sprint I've ever seen and the observant of you will recognise Michael Cowards name from riding the Thurs TT's a couple of years ago in 7th (a tall lad I got plenty of shelter behind in a brief early break).
Thanks to Mick MacCormick for an encouraging shout when I needed it most.
There is also a picture of Kit on the BC website doing some proper racing!
