Roadworks completion

For the last 4 months it's been a right pain getting from North to South West York at rush hour but just wanted to report the following road works have now finished (apart from final tidying up) and all have lovely new smooth road surfaces

Water Lane (Clifton Green to A59)
Carr Lane (OK that was done a couple of months ago)
Gale Lane
Moor Lane bridge (by Tesco / York College)

If you know any car drivers who use these routes tell them they are still being worked on and to use the ringroad!

(only problem is that, combined with the fact I've got over my knee injury and it was a lovely morning for a bike ride I had NO excuse whatsoever for being late as usual this morning!)

My sources tell me that having finished the Moor Lane bridge they're soon to start on the St Helen's road bridge instead - Grrrrrr!
