Hi there
Just thought I'd let you know about an event I'm planning in Gilling Woods, Yearsley on 16th May. It's a Mountain Bike Orienteering Event (MTBO) and tests your ability to ride fast and map read at the same time. One of the great things about this sport is that the fittest riders regularly lose out to those with good map reading skills.
I've just spent all day today planning the route and I think it's going to be quite testing. It takes in quite a bit of singletrack and is quite lumpy! Some of the British squad will be taking part but won't know the woods as well as some of you local riders so why not come along and give it a go?!
