Was fast indeed with that tail wind. Remember the faster we go (or at least the harder you're having to push on the pedals when you're at the front) we should be doing as shorter turns as possible especially when it's only a 30 minute effort. I also reckon when it's that hard people are going to have to miss turns so use that as an opportunity to do another turn if you can and keep momentum going. More training
. That said, when Pete pulled out 'the smack' from his back pocket and laid it down in those last 2 miles I was sat on his wheel think "good luck sweetheart if you think I can get round you". Thank god he took it off the 12 eventually and I crept past him.
