As most of you guys who read this know, I've been training for an attempt at 'solo RAAM09', however due to lack of sponsorship we have had to put the attempt back until 2010.

Obviously when this happened I was at first overwhelmed by the negatives, however I am now starting to see real positives in it.

1. If the improvements I have made (power from 184 watts - 214 watts at first turn point) can be built on over the next year, then I have a realistic chance of going under 10 days, I was aiming for under 11 days this year.

2. It gives time for the support team to get to know each other properly.

3. It also means that Stacey can start her training for the 2011 event, so at times I will have company on those longer rides (we've just signed up to do the 12 hour starting at Pocklington)

4. An attempt at a fairly quick Landsend to JOG

5. A try at doing coast to coast and back.

6. I get to see Jon Cocker race Nice Ironman

7. And I might even get to build some speed at the spocos (maybe not)

Thanks for all the support from you guys who have ridden with me this year, it just means I'll be boring you again for the rest of the year and into 2010.
