A bit of info on an event The Malton Wheelers are hopeing to put together for 2008.

Event. 'La Baptiste' cyclosportive. 145 or 90K Sunday 20 April 2008

Location. Mers-les-Baines, Picardy.

Proposed itineray:-
Depart 18 April Malton by Yorkshire Bikeliner coach
Sat. 19 April stay in hotel near to the start.
Sunday 20 April. Storm round the course.
Monday 21 April. Arrive back in Malton.

Times and costs to be confirmed. I reckon it will be about a hundred and fifty quid all in.

Distance:- 145k or 90k

Itinerary:-

Friday 18 April 2008. Depart Malton Railway Station 18:00 hrs by Bikeliner coach for Mers-les- Baines via Dover-Calais ferry.

Saturday 19 April 2008 Bed & breakfast at the Etap Hotel in Mers-les-Baines.

Sunday 20 April 2008 07:30 Sign on. 08:30 Ride your chosen event.

Sunday p.m. Depart Mers- les-Baines for the UK

Monday 21 April 2008 Arrive Malton early in the morning.


How much? £125:00 This includes coach, ferry, hotel and event entry fee.

Non cycling trippers are welcome at £100:00 each.

Accommodation is all twin bedded double rooms.
