BIKE RIDING TO THE DISCOVERY OF LAKES, HILLS
AND OF AN ANCIENT OPEN CAST GOLD MINE
Let us show you the peace and beauty of Biellese, in northern Piedmont: an unspoiled area rich of hills, valleys and lakes. The perfect destination for outdoor living, relax and to taste traditional food and wine.
3 Days / 2 Nights
- Day one: arrival and accommodation at a three star hotel/B&B in Biella or neighbourhood. Dinner
- Day two: Biella to the Viverone Lake. Breakfast. Meeting with our staff for the presentation of the tour, departure.
The tour will take you from your hotel to the agricultural area of Cavaglià, where you’ll have lunch at a typical country restaurant where dishes are prepared with their own production of vegetables/meats. In the afternoon you can relax, wander along the country roads of the area, and reach your guesthouse or B&B in Cavaglià or Viverone (just a few miles away). Before dinner you can visit a local wine producer where you’ll be explained the characteristics of the local wines and offered to taste some. Dinner.
The ride will be run almost entirely on paved roads through villages and fields, with no significant inclination.
- Day three: breakfast. Departure for the tour of the lake: a circular tour of the Viverone Lake that after taking you on top of the hills facing the lake, will take you down to a nice valley where you’ll really feel completely cut out from the rest of the world. Then, then through a woodland, you’ll reach the village of Azeglio, where you’ll go back to paved roads. The tour will end with the ascent to another nice, but very small lake on top of another hill and the return to your hotel/B&B (by 4 p.m.). For this tour you’ll be provided with a packet lunch, for maximum freedom.
Late check-out at 5 p.m. or use of another room’s facilities.
