Come to Biella, in Northern Piedmont, for the “Gran Fondo of the Biella Prealps”!
New entry of the 13th race of the “Italian Championship” and part of the “Piedmont Michelin Cup”, a series of seven different races around Piedmont, the “Gran Fondo of the Biella Prealps” is a great chance to discover our province on your beloved bike.
With our special ”short break”, ”racers” and “friends & family” offers (details in the file included), both the racers and their companions can spend the days before the race discovering our area and the huge range of activities that this territory offers.
Beside the well known Gran Fondo, on Saturday an incredible timed climbing race Biella/Oropa will take place on the same route used by the pro riders of the “Pink Giro” only 42 days before. Each rider will be timed, and thus able to compare his/her time with the one of his/her favourite pro riders!!
25th May 2007: for the fourth time in its history, the Pink Giro will be back to Biella with a great stage: the 13 km individual timed climbing race to Oropa. It will be the only one of the “Giro” of this year, and for sure one of the most interesting oneswith its: 13 kmof length, 718 m height difference, 5,5% average slope, 13% max. slope.
