For club members, who would like to take part in this and promote the event through their workplaces...

Last year, 55 local businesses and 1400 people signed up to the York Cycle Challenge 2011, cycling the equivalent 129,112 miles and encouraging 149 people to try cycling for the first time in over a year.

Three months later, 42% of new cyclists reported that they had started cycling more regularly – a fantastic result.

Now it’s your turn! This year the competition is coming back to York and we’d like to invite your workplace to take part.

What is the York Cycle Challenge 2012?

It’s a free incentive based staff cycling scheme run to encourage and support employees to discover the benefits of cycling. Workplaces across York will compete from MONDAY 14th May to TUESDAY 5th JUNE to win fantastic individual and team prizes, including cinema tickets for those who ride a bike for the first time in a year.

Your staff only need to try cycling for at least 10 minutes in a 3 week period.

It’s not about cycling the furthest or about cycling to work. We just want as many people as possible to try riding.

This exciting city-wide competition is going to give cycling a big push in York. Help influence the morale, health and fitness of your workforce - register today and show your support.

Thanks
