Happy New Year!

If the winter weather is getting you down, then why not start planning a great cycling holiday in the French Pyrenees…

You could try our Tourmalet Challenge – setting the best time up this most difficult of climbs – last year’s winner managed 1hr08:50.

Or come and experience the Tour de France in the mountains. We have two rooms left for the 23-26 July when three stages are on our doorstep.

If you want a really tough training camp, then have a go at our Allant Raid des Cols (ARC). It’s 176km long with over 4800m of climbing up five of the region’s most famous mountains. You can tackle it over 1,2 or 3 days throughout the summer.

Or if you would prefer to take part in one of France’s many sportives, Steve is attempting 15 events between February and September – they are well organised, cover a range of distances and are great for all abilities.

In July, the Etape du Tour is taking place just up the valley from us, so come over beforehand for a training camp, stay with us in July or try the Etape at some other time away from the crowds. It is a route we know well and by late spring we will have a training DVD on sale covering the climbs and descents.

If you simply want a relaxing family holiday with a bit of cycling thrown in, we have bikes to hire, lots to do nearby and great food and facilities at the house.

Whilst if you are looking for some serious training to improve your season’s cycling performance, we have lots of suggestions for routes of all distances, difficulties and terrains.

Looking forward to seeing you during 2007 - our website has got all the details www.allant.biz

Best regards
