Just 3 of us in The Square on Sunday. Riding out of York it felt like it was never going to get light, but the autumn colours still glowed under the heavy cloud cover. Loads of cycling clubs out and about, all making the most of the otherwise very quiet lanes. Have not been through Studley Royal for a while and enjoyed the climb up onto Brimham Moor, although it was very wet and foggy at the top.

After the café at Summerbridge, things brightened up considerably until we picked up a sunny tailwind back to York. This was my first ride back on fixed for the winter season, and I've lost the knack over the summer. Hope it comes back! 125 km Square to Square and I was supping tea in the kitchen shortly after 3pm.
