Hello everyone,

Looks like we still require an Organiser and Timekeeper for the latest round of our Thursday Evening Time-Trial Series on the Sheriff/Bulmer/Coneysthorpe Circuit this Thursday.

Nigel, Kerry Archer (from York Tri Club) plus two other athletes from York Tri Club have agreed to marshall.

If you can help out then please reply here and add your name to the Event Spreadsheet.

Many thanks,
Craig

Hi,
There are traffic lights between Terrington and Sheriff Hutton. I've been in touch with Yorkshire Water and their contractor Morrisons Utilities and they say they cannot guarantee that works will be completed before Thursday night. I spoke with a helpful guy called Gary on 07702347331 who is a project manager for the contractors and he passed on his apologies.

The lights are for about 200m near the bends halfway along.

I've sent a message to David Short but posted here as well in case others need to take action.

Alternative route?

Best wishes

Michael

There were indeed temporary lights there on Saturday when I was out and about, but they weren't in operation - is it possible that they will also out of action during the evening?

I asked that question of the contract manager and he said no they will remain 24hour unless they unexpectedly finish the whole project early. David Short has suggested to me that a change of route may be possible.
