We've been to Yorkshire's southern extremity at Harthill, we've been as far east as you can go at Spurn Head. This Sunday (1st July) we plan to sally forth to Dunsop Bridge on the border with Cumbria (or it may be Lancashire, but we don't really care about that). Indeed there is some discussion over whether the western extremity really is Dunsop Bridge and in may be High Bentham. But for the moment am going to stick with DB, as per the first web site I found, as its a nicer village. It's in Slaidburn Forest just before the Trough of Bowland.

I think the ride is about 250km, but allow me a bit of an error bar on that. There's obviously a fair bit of climbing to do and the countryside will be grand. The weather forecast is awesome, so there really is no excuse....

0700 start. Brunch in Cracoe after 80km, then fuelling as and when.

I have a feeling this could be the ride we're talking about all winter, so don't miss it.
