A group of 7 set out on the inters heading for Stokesley. Sadly we lost Graham at Sheriff Hutton when he decided to do his own thing. Found out he joined the K ride so managed to get a ride in :) . Kevin N departed at Chop Gate which left Stu, John B, James, Rich and myself. excellent progress was made to Stokesley where we stopped at the Uno Momento Cafe/restaurant on the High st. Felt a bit under dressed when we walked in but food and service good albeit i was outfaced by the size of the pizzas. Returned via swainby, osmotherley and hawnby down boltby bank and through Kilburn and Easingwold. Some tough climbing metres and was a bit apprehensive of the climb out of hawnby with it coming towards the end of already a hard ride. was Ok in the end with its new road surface :D but a long drag nonetheless. didnt see any chickens craig   but we did consider stopping at the memorial half way up placed in homage to the hen you hit craig  , sorry only kidding. We stopped on the return at one of the pubs in sutton on forest to have cold drink and fill water bottles as most were gasping. i certainly was :D arrived back in York around 6pm with just over 100 miles on clock and with my ride back via selby because of Cawood bridge closure( incidently found out saturday evening that it had reopened) i had 135 miles and 2000m plus ascent :D
