Why ''The Fly's Eyes'' ? because the hilly bit of the route on a map is the shape of the eyes of a fly. We could have called it ''The Dogs'' but it might not be that good.

Start 8am from Sq it's got to be 220km four big climbs two cafe stops Thwaite and Grinton

1 Oxnop Scar Askrigg to Muker
2 Buttertubs Pass North- South
3 The Fleek Askrigg to Low Row South -North
4 Greets Moss Grinton to Redmire

Its going to be like the the Tan Hill ride a few less km and one more hill.
Modest pace out and back should have us in York for between 6-7pm Hard to tell but the early start means nothing has to be too rushed. Bring a bit of extra grub in your pockets as I am not sharing my sandwiches on this one.
This route is under consideration for a future Tour de Yorkshire stage although they will do it as a string of hills. Mainly due to not having to shoehorn in a couple of cafe stops.

Don't wish to over sell this it will be a hard day out. With a sensible pace and good group cycling it can be for the many not the few.
