The Saturday Inters group had a trip to Glaisdale via Egton Bridge. 11 riders left the square - Joe, Graham, Ian R, Dave C, John B, Rob M, James, Rich, Stu, self and a guest appearance from a lithe looking Dave Ward.

A blustery north-westerly made progress challenging so Joe and Graham stopped at Pickering, the remainder headed on up the Roman road over the moors where the wind and gradients between them really started to tax legs and spirit.

The ascent of Caper Hill isn't easy at the best of times and when I had to stop to allow a car to pass getting going again wasn't fun.

A welcome respite was had at Rosedale before we had a reasonably uneventful ride back to York, eschewing the siren call of the Chimney.

My first 100+ mile ride for 9 months and I certainly knew about it when I got back. Thanks to all for a good ride :)

Keep pedalling!
