I got a phone call this afternoon from Helen Whiteley at BHF. I asked her to send me the details by email - see below; self explanatory:
Dear Robert
Thanks for you time this afternoon below some info for your website about our predicament!
Due a last minute pull out the BHF urgently needs around 40 marshals to help at its Ride of the Roses Lancaster to York bike ride this Sunday 16 September. Roles would involve being positioned at junctions, roundabouts etc and acting as support where necessary for our participants. Various locations needed and expenses covered. For further information and/or if you are able to help us please contact Chris Legh on 07792 769820 or email Chris on hobo-events@hotmail.co.uk
