From Jonny's feedback yesterday,it sounded as if there was a good turn out for a pacy 3 Bridges ride...

There were six of us in the square on Sunday morning ready to do battle with a strong westerly wind on our way out to Wetherby and Beckwithshaw. Jonny and Tim continued on to Killinghall leaving 3 Andy/Andrew's and George to tackle the back roads to Darley and Heyshaw before descending to the relative calm of Pately Bridge. It was certainly pretty wild on the uplands with the wind whipping across the fields and funnelling through every gate opening. The cafe at How Stean Gorge was an oasis of calm accompanied by some serious eating on our part.

With the wind at our backs, Jordans Moss straight after the cafe stop was more manageable than usual and we then sped down to Healey at a rate of knots. We then took to the network of quiet back roads to Kirkby Malzeard and on to Ripon. It was then heads down for a wind-assisted high-speed return to York to complete +170km and 2000m odd of climbing. All in all a grand day out!
