Well done for having a go!

I know we made a splash (pun) about comparing yourself to what the pros did in London, but at the end of the day sport isn't about that really is it? It's more about testing yourself and trying to improve.

If you were inspired then there's loads more the Clifton can offer you in the future. You can find on the web site details of Thursday night time trials similar to what we did on Friday that go on for the next 4 weeks. There's information about open time trials (bigger and higher standards). There's info about road racing and handicap road races (where you can get a head start, wehey!) You can even ride our end of season hill climb (like Friday, but all up hill!!!) We can tell you about racing off road (mtb and cross) and orienteering events. And we can help you train yourself to improve at all the above.

But remember that racing isn't everything. There's great satisfaction to be had in completing Challenge rides, charity rides, Audaxes and grand tours. And for some of us the greatest pleasure is in sharing a pot of tea in the cafe!

The next step is to join us. There's a form at http://www.cliftoncc.org/static.php?content=membership. Fill it in. Write a modest cheque and send it to our membership secretary. What's stopping you?
