A friend of mine is organising regular cycling film nights in Knaresborough and I said I'd post something on our discussion board to publicise it.

The details of the next event are as follows...

Thanks to everyone who made it to the first film night. There were around 50 people there and it seemed to go down very well. There were lots of positive comments about Matt's support slot, the film and the bulk order of Samosas/Pakoras!

The next film is A Sunday In Hell on the 9th April (timed to psyche you up for Paris Roubaix or The Scotton 100) and it will be the first time I have seen it on the big screen so I'm looking forward to it. We've also just received confirmation from Brian Robinson that he will be coming along to take part in a Q&A session before the film on his experiences of riding Paris-Roubaix. He rode it in '58, the same year he won his first stage of the Tour, along with Bobet and Anquetil to name a couple (a complete finishers list: http://bikeraceinfo.com/classics/paris- ... pr1958.htm).

Tickets are available from here https://bfn2.eventbrite.co.uk and, as before, all proceeds are divided between Knaresborough 1st Scriven Scout group and Barnado's.

I hope it might be of interest to some of our members.

Craig
