Not being a Sun Mail or Mirror man myself I can't speak for those influential publications, but I am pleased about the amount of coverage cycling gets in the Guardian: each week there is a general column by Matt Seaton, now a Vet, but used to be a Cat 1 man and author of books on cycling.

The racing scene is covered regularly and quite well by William Fotheringham. Today there was one obituary (Felix Levitan of Tour fame, and two pieces in the sports pages putting cycling achievements up as a model for other sports to follow in the quest for medals.

Good especially to see that women achievements are singled out for praise, shining in the sport internationally (Victoria Pendleton's 3 track golds and Nicole Cooke winning road races all over the place).

What's coverage like in other papers does anyone know?
