The Southdowns Challenge

On road routes over 2 distances (80 mile and 50 mile) that criss-crosses the Southdowns Way. The Sportive is organised by the Rotary Club of Waterlooville assisted by Fareham Wheelers Cycling Club.
The event this year is supporting both the local charity Basics and the International Mercy Ships. Basics is a team of over 20 local volunteer doctors who act as first responders to road accidents and in some cases marine accidents. Mercy Ships is a converted ship manned by volunteer doctors and nurses visiting third world countries to carry out life changing operations, such as cataracts etc.
Included in your entry fee will be a hot drink before the start and on finishing food and drink along with a hot snack. Secure storage will be available at the hall for your kit. Those arriving by car will find plenty of car parking spaces.
