Farewells

Dear all,

I'm moving to London for a new job, so unfortunately will no longer be out riding with Clifton (although will continue to race in the famous red and black until end of the season)

I've particularly enjoyed the SPOCO series, the NYERRL races and anything at the new cycle circuit.

Big ...

Thanks to Jeff and all those involved in volunteering last night.

I felt like I was having a good ride and was hoping to beat my previous time - 3 seconds slower last night :(

Punctured on the way home, but at least I managed to get round the course before the tyre blew!

Could I grab a lift with anyone? I can get to anywhere around York.

Cheers,

Yeah I will be heading out on the Wigginton Road. I'm going to set off from York at 5.15, so I can pick you up on the way if you want.

Finally found the course, I think it goes from brandsby, fast section to Crayke, through Crayke towards a T junction and then left to Stillington. The road bends ...

Yeah I've been trying to figure out the course through strava searching but to no avail. It looks like a hilly one!

I'll be riding out from York (nr cycleworks) at 5.15. Reckon a slow spin out will take best part of an hour.

Let me know if you want to join,
Anthony

I had to withdraw last night as I was struck down with a cold on Sunday, and I didn't want to torture my lungs that much.

I almost made the same mistake in the test event - I had my head down sprinting to the line, crossed it and relaxed and then realised I was heading into a corner at about 30mph ...

Can anyone describe the Brandsby route? Does it finish on Yearsley Bank?

Thanks

Firstly, thanks to Rich and all the other volunteers for a well organised race.

Although I enjoyed racing last night, I felt a bit disappointed not to be able to contest the sprint. The bunch was really tight and with miles to go was spread across the whole of the road. I felt like I had a ...

I don't mind putting my hand up for this as I have Thursday afternoon free.

However, I don't know what I'm doing and I don't have a car. If this isn't a problem, then I'm up for it.

I'm hoping to enter on the line. Is anyone I could hitch a ride with? Again I can get to anywhere around York.

For me a trip home to Leicestershire to see the family just happened to coincide with Lichfield CC crits at Curborough Sprint Course - a short course with a couple of very tight corners.

I entered the 4th Cat only race, and managed to stay at the front for the majority. I felt my cornering skills ...

There were definitely enough Clifton riders near the front to do something, although that was more just a result of circumstance than any arrangement.

I was one of the riders learning race tactics - I think I was probably in part to blame for closing gaps to any little breaks as well  So ...
