Re: Training ride on Saturday 14th Nov

Thanks for making me feel welcome everyone and for looking out for me throughout the ride, my legs just cramped quite bad going over the Bolton Percy railway bridge and that was it, no way of keeping up unfortunately.
Felt broken when I got home but really enjoyed being out.
Hope to see you all ...

Re: 08:45 Saturday 14th November - Tollerton/Tadcaster/Cawoo

Thanks for Saturday Mike, not just for making me feel welcome but also looking out for me during the ride and staying with me when my legs went a few miles from home!!
Also thanks to the rest of the guys for looking out for me and helping me get back on the group when I lost contact.
Was great being ...

Re: 08:45 Saturday 14th November - Tollerton/Tadcaster/Cawoo

Hi there. I am hoping to get back into my club riding and this 0845 ride that was bought in seems ideal for me ( not wanting to be out all day etc etc)!
I used to go out with the K ride abit but that was a few years ago now. I have kept my riding up but it is mainly solo rides due to available time ...

Brilliant write up Darren really enjoyed reading it. I must get signed up next year, I left it too late this year and the mid distance had sold out. I may need some hill practice before then!!

Re: Plans for rides during the Tour weekend

Tricky to know where to go on stage 1! I have tickets for racecourse on stage 2. I was thinking about seeing what the club was up to but I am out in the evening so I don't have oceans of time later. I have looked at riding to ripon and seeing the inevitable chase to the breakaway from there. It's an ...

Re: Best Cleaning "stuff"

Hi there, degreaser wise I have tried Muc off degreaser which is very good. Also gt85 and wd40 seem to clear the black greasy build up from the chain and cassette. Usually takes 2 or 3 goes to get it good but it always comes up looking shiny and new. Toothbrushes help to clean the cassette and I use ...

Re: Entry Level Bike Computer & Sat Nav Help Please.

I have a garmin edge 200. It is perfect for what I needed. I basically wanted a bike computer but without the sensor etc that always get knocked about and stop working! It records rides so you can download them to garmin connect or strava and it shows where you have been on a map with distance ...

I agree, this is a great app. As I have never taken part in the tt's before I found it very useful to see how I was doing in comparison to others. Turns out that I am quite a lot slower!!!!

Hi, I was thinking about heading up to sheriff Hutton tomorrow and was wondering if you needed any more marshals or a helping hand? I have never been to the thurs tt's yet so not familiar with the setup. Cheers. Tim
