Good ride today. As Damien stated it brightened up a little after the foggy start but it played havoc with our team radios so we had to rely on our substantial years of race craft to set up the race for glory. Not easy controlling a bunch of 1000 riders with only 4 of us but after letting 3 jackpot ...

Good training ride today, nice riding by all and as a whole it was pretty tidy. Thanks to Andy and Phil for hanging around when the slow puncture finally went too soft, a decent three up on the way back. Dead flat as I reached home, opportune!

Nice day out wasnt it? Couldnt have asked for nicer conditions. Really well attended with 500+ riders. The fast group was pretty quick it got lined out at 30mph + on the flat on quite a few occassions! Nice to be towed along by a few Team Sky riders!

Ride back home was good too, about 90 miles all ...

short notice unfortunately as the closing date for consultation is 7th September but for those of you with the time/inclination to respond:

Its a closed circuit cycle loop for want of a better way to describe it part funded by York Council, the University and BCF. Kind of a funny shape and aimed at encouraging people to try cycling in a safe environment as oppose racing. At least it was the last time I saw the plans.

could you provide a bit more info for the uninitiated (me!)? Is the route marked out or is it a map read jobby? And on the three bridges will there be a group I can ride round with who know the way if it is a map read?

How long will you be out for, around 3 hours? If so I may come along for my first Saturday ride!

Being a relative newbie roughly how far will you be riding on Saturday? Wouldnt want to turn and embarass myself!
