Re: 08:45 Saturday 3rd May

Not been able to get out for a few weekends but I was glad I made it. Cracking rolling route from Tony with a nice kicker after Masham, good company, and the weather gods were kind into the bargain. Made it home with 85 on the clock, a smile on my face, and in time for lunch which I'd worked up a ...

Re: Sunday training ride!

Cheers Nigel, good ride that - just the job! I've got 18.7 for the OOT bit with some pretty full on efforts on some of the climbs so all good training too :)

Re: Training ride, Saturday 1st

Left home too late for one reason and another and missed the group so went round on my own anyway. Given the recent puncture/crash rate I thought I might come across some unfortunate but it wasn't to be - I guess that's progress! Fun with that tailwind after the turn, I expect to see some Strava top ...

Re: 2014 Clifton Reliability Ride

You can just pay on the day when you get to the car park Lee, no worries. Correct change probably appreciated :)

Re: Training ride, Saturday 25th

Middle group for me this week. We headed off at a good pace and with some very smooth, tidy riding had to back off a few times to avoid catching the first group off. The problem resolved itself with a puncture on the way into Boroughbridge which turned into an epic fix when we only realised the tyre ...

Re: Training ride, Saturday 4th

I don't think I'll be out tomorrow, but I agree with the above. Most folk aren't racing for a few months yet so a gradual build should be the plan. Those racing sooner/riding some 'cross can always do more high intensity work during the rest of the week or before/after the ride, which seeing you ...

Tony improvised a great route for the 8.45 ride. 13 of us headed out West through Tockwith, Spofforth and through the backroads to explore the rolling terrain around Lindley Wood Resevoir before heading up Norwood Edge. Regrouping once over the summit we headed back via Beckwithshaw, Kirkby Overblow ...

What happened Steve? Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for popping a route on again steve. Just to float an alternative since we've been heading North quite a bit how's about the route the training ride uses to the West which the 8.45 group last did 10 weeks ago or something like that. A few lumpy ...

You can just get a day license on the day and give it a try - no need to go the whole hog until you've tried it and decide you want to do more.

I've not been to the York circuit but maybe someone who has can confirm if this is possible there?

I popped off just before Wheldrake after closing one gap too many as the big guns started to get frisky. I was glad of Jon for company on the way back in to town and still ended up with 22.8 for the out of town bit. Not quite what my legs needed yesterday but I'm sure it did me good and it was good ...
