Regarding the above, Is this due to take place at 10am from the square?

Just wondering what the route might be and ETA back in York?

Is the racing and training section the correct place to find info on the intermediate rides? I ask as I haven’t seen much on it.

I'm more than happy with the social element and cafe stop and would like to see if this format is for me?

At what time and where does the ride go from on Sat?

I've been doing a bit of thinking regarding where I am with cycling (fitness levels) and how long I’ve been involved in the sport.

My gut feeling at this stage would be to perhaps drop down a group (intermediate I think it is?).

When do the above rides occur, at what time and where from?

Do we have a confirmed route for tomorrow?

I'm definitely up for coming out this Saturday on the training ride, last Saturday was tough for me but I loved it to be fair!

Just need to be sure on the route?!

If I get dropped I get dropped! I'm more than happy to make my own way back.

Sounds like good advice and yes as I expected there was a dramatic increase in HR whilst I was at the front of the group.

I guess at this stage it's a learning curve but an enjoyable one at that.

I'll come along to the training rides and see how I get on?

Like I say I'll be looking to start racing next season so any help and experience will be beneficial at this stage.

I'd be happy with coming along to the same group ride as last Saturday's and gradually building my fitness up.

The aim is to start racing next season and I certainly enjoy the high intensity work.

My body generally responds well to training so I wouldn't imagine it'd be to long before I wasn't ...

I really enjoyed Saturday, although the pace nailed me in the end!

It was useful in terms of group riding education and exercise intensity.

I would like to continue to attend the club rides but at this stage don't know if rides such as Saturday's are appropriate?

I guess the options are drop down ...

I like the sound of the training ride and the additional pacing element.

I am looking at the possibility of joining the club and would like to attend one of your training rides to get a feel for things.

Are there any training rides this Saturday (30.07.11)?

I ride at around 18-20mph and have ridden up to 70 miles.
