Re: Training Ride 7 January

Hi martin,
Glad you got home ok. These things happen once and a while. The rest of the ride was uneventful apart from a suicidal squirrel which seemed to bounce of John's front wheel without any obvious injuries. Not out the next couple of weekends but hope to be back early Feb.

end of season ride sat 3rd september

Last Saturday it was suggested we have a cafe stop on this weekend's ride to mark the end of the season. The weather looks ok at the moment. Millington or hovingham are obvious options but any other suggestions welcome. The aim would be for a 9am start and return by 12.30 after stop for tea/coffee ...

Re: Training Ride Sat. 7 May

I will be in the square at 9 and happy to suggest a route or follow other preferences. Maybe even a chance to break out the summer kit.

racing roundup 28th April

First of the nyrrl evening races tonight over at the classic pennypot circuit. The weather forecast was looking inclement (3C and chance of sleet) but I am an optimist and decided to see how it developed. For a lap all was well but then the hail, sleet and wind started to make their presence felt. I ...

Re: w/e roundup 9/10 April

The Newbald course is notorious for punctures and so it proved. Plenty of others at HQ when I got there. Tried to stay up at the front to be safe and avoided any mishaps for about three laps. Was feeling ok when on the decent ran over one of the many muddy patches presumably containing flints and ...

Re: Training ride tomorrow

Hi will, I did not see your message until it was too late. There is usually always a group at the square even if nobody has posted. Just turn up. We had six today led by Nick over a new route taking in sherrif, whenby, skewsby, ampleforth and up onto the tops dropping down wass bank, coxwold, huby ...

Re: Training ride on Saturday 31st Oct

I am intending to be out for a ride saturday am and will be in the square at 9am. Was planning on doing a route that includes some longer (but gentle) hills and avoiding too many muddy lanes (at least they weren't last week). Anyone welcome to join me. Should be a 3 hour ride. The route is roughly ...

Re: NEW CLOTHING ONLINE STORE OPENS THIS WEEK

Hi andy,
If you make it to the pub on Thursday could bring a sample shirt and bib shorts? Was not planning to try for size, more interested in the material and chamois. Cheers.

Re: Weekend roundup, 10/11th Oct

Hi Dave,
Good luck with the hip replacement. If you are worried about the weight gain, maybe ask for the carbon upgrade rather than the alloy joint. Marginal gains.
