Yes Darren that would eliminate a group crossing the RR. Similarly, meeting at the same place Clifton meet on the Rufforth road (Cycleworks could do this route on Thursdays). The group could get on the A168 at Cowthorpe and line-out to Borobridge then accross to Helperby or come back down A168 ...

Just a couple of observations from me: It may be safer to meet outside the ring-road, possibly the small layby 100m outside the RR roundabout as the A19 from the rugby club to the RR will be very busy at 18.00 for two abreast riding. Having just viewed Steve Savage's photographs I've just realised why you didn't make the winning break Heather...you had your number (13) the right way up!

Just a quick note of agreement with Tim. Apart from the full time pros, Heather held her own on a tough race circuit and did the club and herself proud! Well done.

The LVRC are running the Barton upon Humber RR. It's a flat course and a low-key event. I entered on the day last year but I did call the organiser during the week before just to save a wasted trip. Good luck.
