Re: Want to buy a Trek, who sells them?

I don't really go in to York any more now that I live in Riccall.

Is he a club member, does anyone know his id/e-mail?

Want to buy a Trek, who sells them?

Hi,

I think a few members of the club own/work in bike shops.

If someone can cut me a good deal on a Trek Madone you would get an easy sale.

Just in case the shop owners miss this thread, anyone know who I should contact?

Anyone been to the Isle of Mann?

Hi,

Due to some pesky import restrictions I'm thinking of popping across to the isle of mann for a weekend biking!

Has anyone been there and have any tips of where to go or what to do?

Thanks,

P

The only difference I noticed when riding the different sizes is that 29ers lose less speed over difficult terrain (especially on a DH course).
They are better at cornering (even on tight switch backs)
Much more traction, especially in the corners.
Smoother acceleration.

Both I and Britt ride a lot ...

Hi Adam,

If you like 29ers for tricks the ones that have stood out are:

Niner RIP9
Niner WFO - Mine
Santa Cruz tallboy LT (with a good fork, some demo with the fox 34 and yeurgh)
The Specialized stumpjumper 29 and Enduro should be good too but still not ridden.

To get a 29er fun in the air you ...

Bit of a late response, but as I serially demo bikes I get to try out all the latest fads... and if anyone has seen my bike I tend to buy them too.

The only real differences I have noticed with 29ers vs 26ers is 29ers have much better traction in the corners and lose less speed when the ground gets ...

Hi,

I also live on Leeman Road and am up for biking.

Am a bit out of practice since car got taken out by the flood in October, and still waiting for a new one (no bike rack = no mountain biking).

I am on shifts so available for riding mornings every other week, and if you have room for wifeys ...

Electrician

Hi not sure what the rules are on touting your own business but my last contract finished on Friday.
The next one starts in a few weeks, so if anyone needs any electrical work done, now is the time!

Change of plan.

Stainburn in the dry is terrifying, riding over greasy green rocks when wet is just silly.
