Can I just say thanks to Shaun and Ian for waiting for me and towing me for the last 10-15 miles before we bumped into Kevin's group to which I attached myself so I could make the last few miles at a more sedate pace.

I can help out.

Is there any chance of organising a Saturday social ride to get potential helpers to Flaxton Hall on time?

Ticket Barriers at York Station

Not entirely sure I should be posting this on a Clifton CC Board, but it is at least as relevant as a discussion about subsidising car manufactures. Anyway National Express East Coast has submitted a planning application for Listed Building Consent to install ticket barriers at York railway station ...

The most depressing thing is it is all entirely predictable. If you lend more to a person than they can realistially pay back in their lifetime, either the debtor goes bankrupt and the creditor loses his money, or you have to engineer hyperinflation, which bails out the debtors and creditors at the ...

How many talented juniors do we have who compete in either open TT's or road races?

I know its not what you were asking but there were a 11 Juniors in the club time trial series. Whether they are talented or not is a mater of opinion, and the better ones with encouragement will go on to open TT's ...

Going back to the original point of the thread.

Not my decision but ? best steer clear of politics.

I don't think it was overtly political as I was merely targeting groups that I assume already receive club concessions. You could replace unwaged with students I suppose if you are really unhappy about it. Other options would be to award to have ...

My second thought was to use the money to give members a voucher towards purchase of club kit.
How about club kit (or vouchers for) as prizes for the best juniors/unwaged over the season?

the burger MUST have had some good energy

It has been a long time since I have done anything on nutrition, so I may not be entirely accurate.

Burgers will mostly be protein and fat. Protein and fat are not the best sources of energy and digesting them may take some of the energy you are ...
