Yea I would not mind meeting you half way , only if I have my GPS by then though.

My GPS will be coming tommorow or the day after so I should have it and have plenty of time to play around with it, where about exactly do you want to meet? I'll have to type it into google maps and print some ...

Actually, Will, I'm cycling over to Manchester on Thursday, do you fancy riding out to meet me half-way for the ride back?

Does anyone else fancy the ride? I'd be going from York via Otley and Hebden Bridge, probably over to Littlebrough; I'm going to be carrying some luggage and making a start ...

What if some idiots on the train come and knock you out and steal the bike??

Only a fool would travel around Manchester unarmed, Will, you know that. Simply chain yourself to the bike and refuse to be taken alive!

Seriously, though, it's not a concern. You're on a busy train... where ...

Trains usually have an area with flat folding seats and a picture of bike above them, like on the trains that run from Hebden Bridge to Manchester, or Manchester to York. The Glossop trains generally are those kind with the doors in the middle of the carraige and a wide open space around them - tons ...

Loads of places within an easy rail journey of Manchester which will give you access to some hilly country for riding - e.g. Chinley, Glossop or Macclesfield for the Peak District, or somewhere like Stalybridge, Hadfield or Huddersfield for the Pennines.

Hi there,

I'd like to do tomorrow's ride, but is that Jordans as in Jordan Moss? Would I be right in thinking that this will be ever so slightly less challenging than the ride Fleet Moss ride two weeks ago?

I'm guessing it's an 8:30 start.

I would like to come along to this. I haven't done a chain before, but would like to learn. How many 'intro' sessions have you guys done so far? Is it just one or two?

Anywho, I'll be there at the bridge at 6:30 tomorrow.

Hi guys,

I just wanted to say a big thank-you to everyone out on Sunday's club run; thanks for making me feel really welcome despite my apparent lack of hill climbing ability!

I hope the rest of the ride went ok after the mechanical problem, and, of course, to you all again soon!

Matt

Intend to ride at a good pace to Otley approx 20mph, then the pace will drop
a bit and the ride will be more sociable but lumpy until the climb of fleetmoss which riders will do at their own pace.

Cheers, Helen. I'm not experienced in group riding; are 'chain gang' like skills going to ...

Over to Brid and back (Wolds, rolling). Another time into the Moors round Hawnby; that was pretty steep.

I'm doing about 200 miles a week, right now.

Hi there, by way of introduction, my name is Matt Green. Since I've been taking cycling a lot more seriously over the last year, I'd like to ride with you guys.

Would it be OK to meet up with people at exhibition square, this sunday, for the Dales ride? And how long do you expect it will it take ...
