As last year, I went to Italy for the Maratona Dolomites, and got knocked out by fearsome heat.

Riding through a village before the turn off for the medium/long route, the digital sign above a chemists kindly informed you it was 35 degrees. The medium course suddenly became attractive, the idea of ...

Cheers Dave.

There's some cavernous potholes on the stretch from Hovingham to Malton, keep your eyes open.

A nice large group of 12 headed out on Sunday on a route out to Otley, up over Askwith Moor, Blubberhouses, Greenhow Hill and Pateley Bridge before a cafe stop at Markington and a fast run home accompanied by some irate motorists.

Fantastic weather, even woke up today with a bit of a tan.

Garmin ...

Jason - that final descent was mental as we had a nasty crosswind and there's an absence of safety barriers on the outer lane.

There were a lot of ambulances as well, some folk must have been in a bad way.

I saw a lad's rim explode at the bottom of the Passo Gardena as he had been braking so much ...

Had a fantastic weekend in the Italian Dolomites on the maratona dles dolomites in Corvara.

Did too much on the Saturday and got to the start just in time on Sunday to set off at the back of the field of 9500, and missed the cut off time for the long route by 10 minutes.

Rode the medio route ...

Tool help needed!

I'm taking my bike away this weekend to Italy and I've left my shiny new torque wrench at my parents last night.

Has anyone in or around central York got one I could borrow for 30 minutes tonight, preferrably with a campag tool to remove my chainset & Crank?

Many thanks,

Andrew.

I hope you all had a good day out, after spending Saturday building my new bike, I was up early on Sunday morning only to get a telephone call at 6.30 and had to drive down to Nottingham to collect a poorly wife.

Thus, I missed the white rose challenge and lost my entry fee.

So to make up for it ...
