When is the best (cheapest) time to buy a bike?

Just wanting some advice about WHEN to buy a bike, now that i have a fair bit of cash to get myself a new bike. When do you think the best/cheapest time to buy a bike is? Now? a month or two's time when the 2009 stock is arriving? or in the new year? When am i likely to get the best price?

Anybody riding out to tomorrow's SPOCO from York??

Just wondering if there was anybody riding out to the SPOCO from the York area? My usual cabbie (dad) is away and mum has a fear of going past the ring road :roll: so can't sponge a lift. I would prefer not to ride out alone so if anyone wants to ride out from York then speak now.........

What time are riders meant to be their to sign on? I will be hopefully be there, but I wont be riding out to it, I'll get a lift off whichever parent is home.
I would offer a lift back but we don't have a working bike rack :roll:

That would probably be Dave Byworth, he mentioned something had dropped from his bike, i'm quite sure he said a tube (or tub).
