Message for Dave C

All the best for your Hip replacement Dave. Hope everything
goes well for you. Maybe next year I can pull back a few
seconds from you.

Re: Weekend roundup 18/19

Some of you may have heard that I had an accident on Saturday, descending the
Leavening hill from the Thixendale side, after completing the Spirograph. As usual I was
going a little too fast for the sharp right hander into the village and went flying off
into the trees and bushes on the side ...

Re: Clifton CC Newbie

Hi Paul,
Can't believe this. I was just browsing the Clifton web when I saw your message.
I was the the driver of the Honda Civic that was involved in the car accident at Grimston
roundabout yesterday and you were a witness who saw it all.
I've left a message on your phone for you to call me so I ...

Hi Ian,
Sorry to hear about your accident, I know what it feels like to be laid up in hospital after an accident, but you'll get over it. Just take it easy to start with and you will be back before you know it.
Have a speedy recovery Arny

Arny - update

Just saw Rob's comments about my neck problem and the follow ups -
thanks Rob for your good wishes and to everyone who has wished me
well over the last 6 months. It's nice to know friends are thinking about you when you are feeling low. I hope to get back on the bike as soon as I have got myself a ...

Arny Pearson - accident

Just an update on my recent accident, but first of all thanks
to everyone in the club for their best wishes and get well
cards. Special thanks to Alan (Pocklington) and to Rob and
Dave C for visiting and giving much needed moral support
when I was in the James Cook hospital in Middlesbrough.
I was ...

I don't know what age you are Dave, but you are definitely not too old
to start racing or even to improve with age. I started when I was about
12, packed in at 18, started again at 27 and retired again at 38 (All to do
with Armed Forces way of life). I re-surfaced again at 55 when I joined the ...

10/11 Oct Round-up

Looks like it is my turn to start the weekend round-up.

I've always hankered to do the famous/infamous Hill Climb known as "The Rake", which is organised by the Lancashire Road Club and starts and finishes in the centre of Ramsbottom, near Bury. It's reckoned to be the oldest hill climb in the ...

Tan Hill

Echo everyones comments about the ride. Hard but very rewarding.
I would like to say special thanks to Dr. Dave for his professional
administrations when I really needed it. I don't know what I would
have done had I been by myself. My finger is still very painful but
fortunately no breaks. Thanks ...

Weekend Roundup

As Mark mentioned I rode the CTC 100 Km starting at Malton.
The majority of the riders were getting on a bit (age wise) but I managed to attach myself to a mixed age group of 7 riders from the Whitby Wheelers, who treated the event like a chain gang, even sprinting for village and town signs. They ...
