Re: Dirty Clubrun 14th October
Yep great ride. Weather was nothing that 3 tops and 2 waterproofs couldnt cope with and the conditions were such that the rain was suitably heavy to wash all the mud away. So yes as previously described it was a mountain bike ride on our road bikes that included a ride out and back. Barely a foot ...

Re: SPOCO TT, Sutton, nearly flat 10, 120718; RESULTS
I was hoping to draft Andy when he caught me after 5 miles but instead allowed him to stuff another minute into me instead!
Thanks for making this event happen Dave at short notice and to everyone who helped and for arranging perfect conditions, but blimey those roads never get any easier!

Re: Weekend Roundup 9th & 10th of December
As Rob has said a fab ride on Sunday. 170k on the clock when I got home which makes this a challenging ride with only the one cafe stop. A bit of everything on this one. plenty of hills as we went out via Dalby and back via the Wolds, a small off-road section, a few cobbles and a sea view from the ...

Re: SPOCO TT series 2018
Dave - Regarding your new circuit - we always avoided using Terrington Bank as a climb because it is too hard and too early in an event and we have used it previously. The decent to Hovingham is surely more dangerous than anything we use currently- you have to give way at the bottom! Dont listen to ...

A varied weekend for me also - an hour down at the Go Ride session with Pete on Saturday + the ride there and back followed by a sneaky hour on my own to Sherif Hutton and back.

And £145 raised for Yorkshire Air Ambulance on the refreshments - our best yet. A good day out either riding or helping - it always is and well done to Phil & Cam for making it happen!

Hi Greg
if you dont like the silly lane courses I dont think anyone is forcing you to ride! Flat time trials arent the future of cycling or even time trialling for that matter. personally I much prefer these roads and strangely have been involved in the running of these on and off since about 2002 ...

Hi All
Apologies would have posted sooner but a few technology issues. Thanks all for volunteering to marshal / push off - I'm sure we will figure it all out on the day. Thanks David for sorting out the police notification - I'm ok with the paperwork. Better weather has been booked! I've spoken ...

Re: Chaingang starting date
Apparently not Reuben. Seems nothing happens unless its posted on here first! But thats the thing with a ride like this it needs a few people to turn up regularly rather than occasionally. Not been able to make it for a few weeks and last week the weather was shit on Tuesday. The last time I was out ...

Re: Chaingang starting date
I'm hoping to be out tomorrow. A spot of lurgy last week and technical difficulties prevented me from advertising the fact!

Re: Weekend Roundup 11th/12th Nov
What can I say - a proper cold, wet & windy weekend. I had a lunchtime appointment so my window of opportunity stretched from 0830 Sunday morning to 1130. For once I actually left the house on time clad in four tops, gortex jacket, tights, knee warmers, overshoes + bags underneath. It was drizzling ...
