Oh blimey, I was looking forward to it too. Ok, having told the kiddos they're having a day out tomorrow, they're having a day out, but never say die.

How about SUNDAY 9.00am the millennium bridge?
If we get three or more yesses on here before Sunday morning to that, I'll be there for a ride if ...

Sorry, with only two definites and one possible for tomorrow I think we're going to have to abandon this idea. If the traditional all day café ride is a bit awkward for you sometimes, you could always go along to one of the established rides, ride out with the group for a couple of hours and then ...

Anyone still fancy a ride of this sort? Bishopthorpe-Tadcaster-Collingham-Spofforth has been suggested. Seems a good idea, well known roads, nothing too hard so we can see how it goes.

We could meet at the Millennium bridge, Saturday 9am sharp.

Any takers?

OK here we go again. Just read the TLI write up of this....seems mine didn't bear a lot of resemblance to what actually went on. I was right about Dave Cooke though, well done for getting a mention.

Leadshoes - I hadn't felt I was nullifying the race. Don't be too negative, you weren't there to see ...

Regular 3 or 4 hour weekend ride?

Don't know whether I dare post on here anymore :) , but hopefully nothing contentious about this (some chance). After getting back from the Saturday ride today at 7pm my better half was naturally a bit miffed. Being out all day is not fair and I do actually like spending time with the missis and the ...

Nice to know I'm not the only one that thinks Wiggo is a Weller doppleganger.

Alberto Contador sounds a pretty glamorous name, but I'm told in English it translates as Albert the Accountant, by gum.

I did have to laugh a bit at Liggett calling Calzati, Calzone a couple of times today.

Oops sorry ...

Ok the reposte - TLI versus BC

Paul....humble 3rd CAT  . I know you don't want to blow your own trumpet but you're hardly the average club cyclist. I've got to the age that I rather like things I know I can rely on like the sun coming up, grass being green and Muzzy being able to ride away ...

It's great to get all these different perspectives, it gives you a good idea of what was going on that you can't get from your own ride.

TLI write up

A posting in a bit more positive than my last one :) . Tuesday night was the next round of the TLI at Wistow. I'd planned to do more of these this year, but after doing two of the early races, because of the usual conflicts I'd not managed to do any more. So naturally with little racing in my legs ...

Weekend Roundup

Having a Saturday spare I thought I'd go along to a club run. Thought I'd have a crack at H's ride. I expected to struggle a bit on the longer climbs, but I've done a couple of TLIs earlier in the year and I'd grovelled round the long version of the Dales Grimpeur, so I thought I'd be ok. What a ...
