This was my first club ride so would just like to say thanks to the organisers. It helped that I was familiar with most of the route but I suffered with the wind from Helmsley and due to starting a 9 hour shift at 3pm, decided to do a short cut back through Castle Howard and Sheriff Hutton.

There is an error on the garmin map.

On entering Crayke from the South, do not turn left at the Primary School then right into Jack Lane, as it peters out into a rough path.
Instead go straight on up West Way, then left onto the short but steep Church Hill....

The Google map is correct

Not strictly pure cycling event, but should build stamina for summer...

5km run, 35km ride, 5km run or shorter event for novices...

Lift may be available from Easingwold area...
