Mavic Freehub repair kit for worn out freehubs

Hi Guys

Just a quick bit of useful information for anyone riding Mavic. My freehub on my Ksyriums became worn out and would make a horrible sound and sometimes lock on descents. Sent it away to Mavic and they said, yeah, it is worn, only thing to do is a new hub!!!

After much despair thinking my ...

Velominati Rule No 5

http://www.velominati.com/the-rules/

Also Rule No 10 and No 20

Rule 59 for earlier in the ride, Rule No 88 also worth mentioning.

And then go back and read Rule No 5 again to remind yourself not to complain!

Well I remember when there was hardly any cycling on telly and we were lucky to get half an hour on channel 4. And British cyclists were the laughing stock of the world and didn't have a cat in hells chance of doing anything (kelly isn't british). Some minor exceptions - Millar (Robert) (Scottish ...

Eurosport is good, IT4 good for comedy value if you don't take it too seriously.

Weather Forecasting

I'm sorry, but does the met office actually know what they are doing? They can't forecast the weather as it is happening, never mind in the morning for that afternoon!

Night before, check weather, pack appropriate kit for temperature, wind, rain. (I get a lift to work and ride home). Morning 6.45 ...

All hail the woodentops on IT4. Excellent. Love the tour for the scenary (tv footage gets better every year), love IT4 for the commentary. Very dry with lots of commentating bloopers. I'm sure they do it on purpose now. Excellent. Although the Harmon/Kelly duo run a close second.

Get well soon Cliftoners. Don't be put of Reuben, you have just had a bit of bad luck. Vets racing is good (but not perfect) and a little safer! Lots of old guys with mortgages and kids - changes perspective on things. But I totally understand why you might want to stop racing! My last few races ...

I'm big on sitting in if you are struggling and concentrate on hiding and getting some speed. If you are tired it could be detrimental but it could also make you concentrate on sitting in. You can save a tremendous amount of effort by sitting in and hiding and it really is a technique - one to ...

As for not fit enough or fast enough, chain gang is all about developing that. One word of caution. It should be hard but you should not totally punish yourself on the chain gang and end up in pieces or it can be detrimental, especially if you are racing. You don't want to leave you best efforts on ...

Olympic torch thing was good and very busy. A bit rowdy according to my 2 1/2 year old (loudy i think). Clifton stand excellent with the bike challenge thing. Enjoyed myself. Shame I didn't get out on chain gang. Family commitments getting in the way. Must make one at least though! Worried about not ...
